Impact of the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax)

For those of you that haven't already heard, there will be a new Harmonized Sales Tax that will be implemneted in British Columbia on July 01st, 2010. This tax is will be a derived from a merger of the familiar GST and PST. In real estate, the 5% GST currently applies to our commission, as well as new homes bought or sold from developers.
